FOUNDATION & INTRODUCTION CLASSES FILL VERY QUICKLY, WAITING LISTS ARE OFTEN RUNNING 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE
SPACES IN ESTABLISHED CLASSES SOMETIMES BECOME AVAILABLE.
If you are on a waiting list for pre competition or graded handlers class, we will contact you as soon as a space appears
1. Foundation Training Courses for Young Dogs / Complete Beginners
CURRENTLY FULL NEXT INTAKE 2012 WAITING LIST OPERATING
- Wednesday evening at Stretcholt Equestrian, nr J23 of M5 (indoors)
- Foundation for Agility concentrates on all the essential skills that a young dog needs such as
- Creating reinforcement zones, focus and self control, balance and co-ordination, motivation through play
- Good recall and reliable startline waits, circle work, early impact free equipment experiences
- £30 for a 6 week block
Followed by a 6 week Level 2 Foundation, building on those early skills
When you are ready, you can join the Pre-Competition / Improvers class at Stretcholt
or the Just for Fun Saturday class at Westonzoyland (see below)
2. Introduction to Agility for Inexperienced Handlers / Agility for Just for Fun Partnerships
CURRENTLY FULL NEXT INTAKE 2012 WAITING LIST OPERATING
- Saturday morning in the Paddock at Westonzoyland (outdoors)
- Inexperienced handlers learn controls necessary for their dogs to be relaxed and safe
- Foundation for Agility concentrates on all the essential skills that a beginner dog needs - balance and co-ordination;
motivation through play; good recall and reliable startline waits; circle work; early impact free equipment experiences - Stay in this group if you enjoy agility training with your dog but have no wish to be competitive
- £5 per session or £25 for a block of 6 weeks
- Dogs must be able to work without problems alongside other dogs
- Dogs that cannot focus alongside other dogs should start with PawPlay classes
3. Pre Competition / Improvers Class
CURRENTLY FULL WAITING LIST OPERATING
- Wednesday evening at Stretcholt Equestrian, nr J23 of M5 (indoors)
- For young dogs and/or inexperienced handlers just starting out in competition
- Train to competition standard
- Establish criteria, understand reward and reinforcement
- First class venue
- £30 each block of 6 weeks
- Dogs must be able to work without problems alongside other dogs
- Dogs that cannot focus alongside other dogs should start with PawPlay classes
4. Grade 1 to 4 Dogs & Handlers that can negotiate obstacles competently
CURRENTLY FULL WAITING LIST OPERATING
- Saturday in the Paddock at Westonzoyland (outdoors)
- This class will continue to run throughout the year
- No pressure to compete - but we train you to competition standard
- Spaces occasionally become available, so please ask
- £5 per session or £25 for a block of 6 weeks
