AFTER THE EVENT - how well did we do?

March 20th - Living and Working with Wolf Look a Likes and Northern Breeds

with Kirsty Peake - DipCABT, CABP, MAPDT681, MPSA and Chair of COAPE
and Jacqui Jones - DipCABT. CABP ChMIACE

Two very experienced and knowledgeable speakers gave an attentive audience of 30 an information packed afternoon.

Kirsty spoke of her experiences researching wolves around the world, and told stories of her encounters with
all the enthusiasm of someone who clearly loves their work and is passionate about the wolf.

Jacqui then built on Kirsty's opening presentation with examples and tales of the realities of living with and
training wolfdogs and wolf lookalikes. As an owner and breeder of Akitas and Shiba Inus for many years, the anecdotes
were all based in fact and the nods of agreement around the audience showed how they rang true.

We were delighted with the feedback as people were going home, most of the sandwiches and cakes were consumed
and as a bonus, thank you for being such a tidy bunch of customers - clearing up took no time at all!

November 20th - HILTON HERBS PRESENTATION & CANINE QUIZ NIGHT

Hilton Herbs provide a large range of products to aid your dog's health and wellbeing. If your dog is
anxious - maybe scared of fireworks -  or has skin problems, arthritis or indeed any other common complaint
then there is probably a herbal remedy available. Many, many thanks to Heather and her husband for a really interesting presentation
and loads of goodie bags as well!

Our chosen charity for this event is The Cinnamon Trust - a National charity that cares for the pets of elderly and
terminally ill people.

Well done to the Overall Winners of the Quiz (representing Striders), Best tablecloth - yes really!- (representing Heaven's Gate Rescue)
and Best slogan ( the Tidball family from our Young Dogs class).
